After having been announced as coming soon last week, BlackBerry has now pushed the latest update to their BlackBerry Productivity Tab out to the Google Play Store. This release, as promised, brings the ability to add widgets to the Productivity Tab.

Love Widgets? Use up too much of your homescreen? Always a pain in the butt to get to them? Well, have we got the solution for you! Using a dedicated tab in the Productivity Tab, you can now drop in widgets from favorite apps, allowing you to see their content from anywhere with one single swipe gesture. Additionally, we have also added the ability for you to manage the visibility and order of the tabs.

Personally, I don’t use a lot of widgets but I know plenty of folks out there do, and this is certainly a nice little addition to the Productivity Tab overall. Adding widgets is as easy as adding widgets anywhere else on your device, just tap on the + sign, pick your widget and move it to the tab. From there you can resize it, adjust the order or delete it.

The update is live now, so go ahead and get it downloaded and give it a go if you haven’t already. You can also swing by the CrackBerry Forumsand see what others think of the update!
