Deadpool 2 will reunite audiences with the titular hero and this time the Merc with a Mouth will be accompanied by new faces, including Zazie Beetz as Domino. In an interview with ComicBook.com, Beetz discussed playing the Marvel Comics character and commented on the themes that will be explored in Deadpool 2.
Stating that she loved to explore the dramatic parts of her character, Beetz commented on her experience playing Domino:
Beetz also stated that the sequel will explore themes that are darker than the first film:
“In Deadpool 2 I think we go heavier than the first one did. Like Atlanta, the themes are darker. I liked playing this woman who could meet Deadpool face-to-face and toe-to-toe. In terms of our wit and our banter, we match. It really was nice to play that.”
